The love of a family
is life's greatest blessing.

This week has been a little unusual. Super Hubby took off Tuesday night for an amazing few days of fishing, actually he still isn't home but should be any minute now. What that meant for our family was me solo: getting kids up, to daycare, to work on an amazingly busy week, and all the evening routine details. High five to all single parents out there, it is a tough job. What made this week easier is that I had plenty of support. Friends over for dinner Wednesday, friends come and join us for farmers market Thursday and my in laws pick up the kids Friday after daycare, a friend invited us to a picnic dinner Friday night, then today all day with my cousin and her daughter including lunch, park, swim, dinner and then ice cream. Phew. Couldn't have done it without my family and friends. When you fill up your day with love, it makes missing one of the biggest parts of our life just that much more tolerable. Still missed Super Hubby, but am so thankful for distractions.
Upside: Great time with the kids, an even deeper appreciation for my husband (if that is even possible), kept my eating undercontrol
Downside: REALLY missed my husband, workouts are off schedule and did I mention I really missed my husband? LOL
Why I Kick A$$: While I would never, ever, in a million years, ever, want to parent without my husband, but I know I can do it.
Thankful Three
- For beautiful people in my life
- For control
- For coconut pineapple ice cream from Baskin Robins

So nice for your husband to get away on a fishing trip. My husband leaves a lot for work so I'm used to him being gone but I really should send him off on a fishing trip! Great to hear from you as always!
